I was never exposed to the term "Islamophobia" till I got in the United States of America and found how the horrifying incident of 9/11 has changed the whole world meanings of Islam. In Pakistan everything and anything I knew Islam was good, excellent and praise worthy. When I heard the word Islam, it made me think about culture, art, music, brotherhood, passion, zeal, white cloth, black burkha (vial), invasion, governments, power, politics, horses, green, oil, mosques, sword, Arabic, and many other things. Peter Gottschalk and Gabrial Greenberg write in their book it all started after 9/11. They write “Islamophia-enacted by Westerners and perceived by Muslims-plays a critically central role in convincing many that a civilizational clash will be inevitable and all-consuming by establishing the ‘fact’ of an essential and irreconcilable difference between ‘them’ and us.”

You were asked in your first class to write down, “with as little thought and as much honesty as possible , all the words that come to mind when you think of the words ‘Islam’ or ‘Muslim.’ What names, places, events, ideas, practices and objects do you associate with these terms?” According to Gottschalk and Greenberg Most Americans who they asked to do this exercise have given an almost routine set of answers. The names and events they think of tend to be associated with violence (e.g., Osama bin Laden, the 9/11 tragedies, Palestinian suicide bombers), the ideas and practices associated with oppression (e.g, Jihad, veiling, Islamic law), and the places limited to the Middle East (e.g., Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran). To be sure, some answers escape this pattern (e.g., boxer Muhammad Ali, pilgrimage to Mecca, the Quran) but these are relatively few. When ask about their answers, many Americans respond that, unfortunate as such associations may be Muslims and Islam feature prominently in many of the world’s conflicts and injustices. And this, they often conclude, reflects something inherent about the religion and its associated cultures. Judging from portrayals of Islam and Muslims in the American media, it’s hard to argue with them.

A few weeks ago I met with a wonderful Christian lady who showed me a book written by an Iranian women who became Christian. This lady asked me a question which made me think; what is the best way to address her question. It’s a funny thing those question which are not answered properly don’t go away rather produce a new conspiracy. The question I was asked was “what is difference between Muslims and radical Muslims.”

A Muslim is not a Muslim if he or she is not promoting Islam because promoting Islam is the part of religious practice. In my 10 years of teaching experience in Pakistan I came to a conclusion there are two ways of promoting Islam (evangelism/ setting stage for Mohammad’s arrival). One those who are willing to give their lives (Jihad: get killed or kill for the sake of Islam) two those who are willing to use little more sophisticate approach using the law of the country as their shield Intellectual Terrorists. I consider the first kind less dangerous than the second one. In the first one you know who you are dealing with and how to handle the situation. Everyone appears to be more aware of first kind but no one have spoken or detected the second one. Therefore, you never know what the agenda of second kind is

Have you ever notice why Muslims have to use guns in order to impose Sharia Law (Islamic Law). Seriously has it ever cross your mind why Muslims are involved in every single war front. Is it religious insecurity or hunger of power. Whatever it is we got to confront it as a one, many Muslims are ashamed for such a wide spread of fanatics and Non-Muslim just cannot take it anymore. Either we are talking about Arab, Africa, Asia, Middle East or the West these Jihadis are everywhere. Why they do not believe in peace and harmony. ABUJA, Nigeria – A Nigerian official says 4,000 people have fled their homes in the northern city of Maiduguri as troops and Islamist militants fight gunbattles for a fourth day.

The report comes a day after President Umaru Yar'Adua insisted the military had won control of the area.

National Emergency Management Agency spokesman Apollus Jediel says about 1,000 people fled their homes in Maiduguri on Wednesday alone. His agency is urging state governments to send relief goods to help the displaced people.

Militants seeking to impose Islamic Shariah law throughout this multi-religious country attacked a police station in Bauchi state on Sunday. The violence quickly spread to three other states.

Scores of people have been killed in the violence. Police say most of the dead are militants.

ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — Troops exchanged fire with Islamic militants in northern Nigeria on Wednesday, fighting that prompted many people to flee their homes, a witness said.

The report came a day after President Umaru Yar'Adua insisted the military had the situation under control.

Olugbenga Akinbule, a local journalist, said he saw fighting Wednesday morning outside the suspected hideout of a radical Muslim leader accused of orchestrating three days of violence in Africa's most populous nation. He also said more people in the city of Maiduguri were fleeing, in addition to 3,000 people he said Tuesday had been displaced.

The military had surrounded the Islamic camp on Tuesday. Government officials did not answer calls seeking information on Wednesday.

Islamic militants attacked a police station in northern Nigeria on Sunday, sparking the worst violence Nigeria has seen in months and leaving at least 55 people dead over the next few days, according to police.

Maiduguri, capital of Borno state, has been the epicenter of the dayslong violence. Authorities imposed curfews Tuesday night and security forces poured onto the streets to quell a wave of militant attacks against police.

"This situation is being brought under control," Yar'Adua told reporters Tuesday as he appealed for calm.

Nigeria's 140 million people are nearly evenly divided between Christians, who predominate in the south, and primarily northern-based Muslims. Shariah was implemented in 12 northern states after Nigeria returned to civilian rule in 1999 following years of oppressive military regimes. More than 10,000 Nigerians have died in sectarian violence since then.

The militants oppose western education and seek a harsh interpretation of Islamic Shariah law in northern Nigeria.

Yet at the heart of the Islamic insurgency that sparked this week's violence is dire poverty and political maneuvering — not religion. The attacks on police have been committed by frustrated, unemployed youths and orchestrated by religious leaders and politicians who manipulate them to retain power.

Nigeria should be wealthy due to its prodigious oil reserves, but corruption and inefficiency have left many people in poverty. Despite promises of reform, Yar'Adua's government, like previous Nigerian governments, has failed to deliver even basic services like running water, electricity and health care.

Late Tuesday, the army sent armored vehicles to a residential district in Maiduguri that is believed to be a stronghold of an Islamic sect behind the violence. Officers said militant leader Ustaz Mohammed Yusuf was thought to be holed up in one of the houses.

As army vehicles approached and opened fire, sect members fired back, soldiers said. An Associated Press reporter in the area saw smoke billowing above the homes.

The radical sect behind the latest violence is known by several different names, including Al-Sunna wal Jamma, or "Followers of Mohammed's Teachings" in Arabic, and "Boko Haram," which means "Western education is sin" in the local Hausa dialect.

Some Nigerian officials have referred to the militants as Taliban, although the group has no known affiliation with Taliban fighters in Afghanistan.

I wish If I would be a powerful man and can do something for the Pakistani Christians who has been attacked by Muslim Mob. Times like these make me think why I am paying my Tex money to the Government of the United States of America when they are empowering the Muslims of Pakistan to attack on Pakistani Christians. Off course not directly or intentionally, but cannot they see what is going on. It is getting brudal in the name of Allah and the West is keep funding in the name of peace, justice and walfare.

Here is a full story what happened at first place:

Islamabad: July 5, 2009: (PCP report) Christian progressive movement is a political movement of Pakistan that supports persecuted Christians in Pakistan, has come out to condemn the attack this week on a Christian village in Kasur district.

According to the fact finding team sent by the chairperson of Christian progressive movement to the village, Bamani wala, was attacked by radical Muslims on 1st of July 2009 after a local Muslim cleric accused Christians of blaspheming against Islam’s holy prophet Muhammad and encouraged local Muslims to kill them.

A mob of Muslims reportedly responded to the cleric’s call by going on the rampage in Bamani wala, home to around 300 Christian families. There they demolished and burned down around 120 houses, other houses were looted and vandalized. Jewels and other precious household items of 15 million rupees (Approximately) from there houses were looted by Muslim assassins.

The attackers also assaulted many of the women and young girls in the village made to run through the village naked and raped. Attackers also threw on the faces of women and young girls that it could snatch lives happiness from them

Police and some government officials have visited the village in the wake of the attack but police have still not registered a case against the men identified by the Christian villagers as the attackers.

Ms Naila J. Dayal, chairperson (CPM) said, it was imperative that the government take greater action to ensure the safety of Pakistani religious minorities. She urged the government to repeal the country’s draconian blasphemy laws which are frequently misused by Muslims to settle personal scores with Christians.

Bamani wala is not the first Christian village to be attacked. In 1997, thousands of Christian homes and several churches were burned down in the Christian village of Shanti Nagar; hundreds were injured in that attack, while Christian girls were raped and abducted. There had never been any arrest in connection with that attack.

Ms Naila J. Dayal commented in a protest in front of press club Islamabad in the presence of print and electronic media and other political and officials on 2nd of July 2009: “It is a very sad and distressing situation as Christians in Pakistan are under attack; they don’t feel secure in their own country simply because they are Christians. The government’s reaction is also very disappointing. We have made it aware of these incidents and yet it has failed to take the appropriate action. It is the government’s duty to protect its citizens and now is the time to pass legislation that will stop the misuse of the blasphemy law and prevent any further attacks on Christians.” Further she said, “Christian Progressive Movement is a representative block of Christian community and it is working on the agenda of voice rising of brutally treated people of Christian community by fuddles, Police, Religious clerics and against the religious prejudice.

It is humble request to you that please request the government of Pakistan to take strict action against these anti-Christianity elements and to ask the Government to file the case against these terrorist attackers. It is not an incident, it is a terrorist attack.

Pakistani Christian are always suffering in hands of illiterate Mullahs (Islamic Priest), where many Muslim leaders in Pakistan think that Muslim and Christians live in peace and harmony. The bitter truth of injustice in Pakistan and discrimination on base of religious has no boundaries. Looting Christian houses, illegal take over the land of Christians, insulting the religious places, raping Christian girls and women, killing Christian young men and placing Christians under blasphemy law when Christian seeks help from police is a normal "TRADITION" in Pakistan.

I read about another wave of persecution in Pakistan. It is not even told to the West because the West has other more important things to handle. For instance, gas prices: building good relations with Arabs, and Middle Eastern and forsaking Pakistani Christians who pay the price for invasion of Afghanistan, and Iraq. Iran is in the headlines all the time, I would ask "Why?" well! here is another bitter truth, Iran is creating problem for the major gas companies to transport the gas from formal Soviet Union states to the west....and can go on and on but that is not important to me; to me the Christian of Pakistan are more important then anything else. London: July 4, 2009. (PCP report) The Pakistani Christian Diaspora in UK have decided here today to stage protest in front of Pakistani High Commission

against attack of hundreds of Muslim rioters on peaceful Christian women, elders and children of village Bahmani Wala village in district Kasur of Punjab on June 30, 2009.

The Muslim cleric named Qari Lateef instigated attack with announcements from village Mosque after one petty dispute between one Christian farmer and Muslim landlord. The Muslims accused Christians of blasphemy and gathered in Mosque numbering 700 according to Pakistan Christian Post PCP sources.

The Muslim mob armed with automatic fire weapons, sticks and daggers ran toward Christian homes situated on side of village.

The majority of Christians tried to ran to nearby fields for hiding to safe their lives and few ran towards Saddar Police Station Kasur to seek police help.

The Muslim mob chanting slogans “ Allha-Hu-Akbar” ‘ Kill infidels” entered in Christian residential area and started setting homes of Christians to fire. The Muslim rioters took away valuable from homes even the electric reading meters. They inured 8 women and 12 men who failed to flee from scene. The Muslims mob attacked two Churches in the vicinity and desecrated Holy Bibles and set them on fire.

The police reached on incident but not tried to stop Muslim rioters who damaged 110 houses and looted cash, jewelry and valuables of Christians from homes.

The police registered case against 9 Christians instead of arresting any Muslim culprits. The Kasur DPO also accepted his failure to protect Christians.

The Pakistan Christian Ideology Council and CLAAS-UK have appealed Pakistani Christians and other Human Right bodies to participate in protest in front of Pakistani High Commission in London at 12: 00 PM, on July 10, 2009.

The news Pakistan says, "One person was killed and 35 injured Thursday in an explosion in Bolan Express.

According to sources, the blast occurred in a bogie number 3 of Bolan Express traveling from Karachi to Quetta. The deceased identified as Nabi Bux was belonged to Quetta.

The rescue teams have arrived at the scene of blast near Colpur area of Bolan and the injured are being rushed to the hospitals. An injured is in critical condition. Emergency has been announced in Civil Hospital Quetta, Bolan Medical Complex and other hospitals. The rescue teams of Frontier Corps also reached at blast site for rescue operation.

The spokesman of banned outfit Baloch Republican Army (BRA) has phoned in media offices and claimed the responsibility of the blast.

Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Asalm Raisani has condemned the blast and directed to provide best medical facilities to blast victims. He also directed the concerned authorities to submit the report about incident within 24 hours."

PESHAWAR, Pakistan – Suicide attackers in a truck launched an assault Tuesday on a luxury hotel commonly used by foreigners in Peshawar, firing guns as they stormed past guards and then setting off a huge blast that killed at least five people and wounded 65 more, Pakistani officials said.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack in the largest city in Pakistan's restive northwest, but it fit the pattern of recent attacks the Taliban said it launched in retaliation for a military campaign against militants in the Swat Valley region.

Television footage showed part of the Pearl Continental Hotel had been demolished in the blast, reduced to concrete rubble and twisted steel. The scene was pandemonium, with armed police rushing around and Pakistani men standing by looking stunned. One man held a bloodied rag to his head.

A large crater was blasted into the ground.

An AP reporter saw six foreigners being helped out of the hotel. They all had wounds and at least two of them had bandages around their heads. One of them said, "We work for UNHCR," referring to the U.N.'s refugee organization. He also said that officials from U.N.'s World Food Program were also staying at the hotel.

Amjad Jamal, spokesman for the World Food Program in Pakistan, said more than 25 U.N. workers were staying at the hotel when the attack occurred. He said all seven WFP workers were safe, but he could not speak for other U.N. agencies. Calls to the U.N. refugee agency were not immediately answered.

Witnesses described three men riding in a truck approaching the main gate of the hotel and opening fire at security guards before driving inside, police official Liaqat Ali said.

Saleem Khan, a hotel security guard who was wounded in the attack, said at a nearby hospital: "They started firing on our security guards, we started firing on them after that. They reached near the building and then blew up the vehicle."

The method of attack matched that of a May 27 attack on buildings belonging to police and a regional headquarters of Pakistan's top intelligence agency in the eastern city of Lahore, for which the Taliban claimed responsibility. In that attack, a small group opened fire on security guards to get through a guard post, then detonated an explosive-laden van.

Sahibzada Anis, a top government official in Peshawar, said at least five people were killed. Another police official Ghulam Mohammad Khan said that so far 65 wounded people had been shifted to various hospitals.

An injured man, Jawad Chaudhry, said he was in his room on the ground floor when he heard gunshots and then a big bang.

"The floor under my feet shook. I thought the roof was falling on me. I ran out. I saw everybody running in panic," he said. "There was blood and pieces of glass everywhere."

He said he several people were lying on floor with wounds, and some of them seemed to be unconscious.

Jamal Khan, a chef at the hotel, blundered out, covered in dust and his apron spattered with blood.

"I was busy as usual cooking when I heard a deafening bang," he said. "I tumbled and hit a wall. I do not know how I managed to come out. I just heard people crying in pain and crying for help."

The Pearl Continental, affectionately called the "PC" by Pakistanis, is relatively well-guarded and set far back from the main road and overlooking a golf course and a historic fort. It is located just over a mile (2 kilometers) from the city's airport.

Parking in front of the structure is heavily restricted, and to get to the front doors of the building, a car has to undergo security checks and travel around concrete and metal barriers.

The hotel is a favorite place for foreigners and elite Pakistanis to stay and socialize, making it a high-profile target for militants.

A senior police officer, Shafqatullah Malik, said initial calculations suggested the blast was caused by more than half a ton (500 kilograms) of explosive such RDX, a powerful industrial and military explosive.

Last year, a massive bombing at Islamabad's Marriott Hotel killed more than 50 people and wounded dozens, rattling the nation.

Farahnaz Ispahani, spokeswoman for President Asif Ali Zardari and the ruling party, condemned the attack.

"We will not bow down. We will not be cowed by these people," she said. "We will root them out. We will fight them and we will win. This is Pakistan's unity and integrity that is at stake."

Lou Fintor, spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, said all diplomatic personnel were accounted for. "At this point we have no reports that any Americans were at the scene," he said.

Northwest provincial information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said the attack was likely in retaliation for the offensive against the Taliban in Swat, which the military says it is winning.

The military offensive in Swat and surrounding districts began in late April, and officials have blamed a handful of suicide attacks since on Taliban attempts to seek revenge.

The biggest attack over the past month came in the eastern city of Lahore at the headquarters of Pakistan's top intelligence agency and a police center, killing 30 people. Three bombings the next day killed 14 people in Peshawar and Dera Ismail Khan, another northwestern city.

Nonetheless, there appears to still be generally broad support for the Swat offensive, which the military says has killed more than 1,300 militants.

Christians under Sharia Law; Islamic Law

Today the Muslim world has been divided into many different sects and each one of those sects interperate Quran according to their believe. The concept of Jihad has served Muslim community to fight against other religions and among themselves. However, the charisma to make every human Muslim stayed same.

The disturbing and bizarre practices of Islam are hardly reported in the Western press. The Western Media, using equivocation, purposeful omission, and harboring an unvoiced premise that all cultures are superior to white, Western civilization, readily ignores the antics of Muslims behaving as themselves. One of the areas routinely passed over is the sexual depravity of Islam.

PAKISTAN: GIRLS KIDNAPPED, ALLEGEDLY FORCED TO CONVERT

A Christian father in Pakistan is in a legal battle with kidnappers for the custody of his pre-teen daughters, who allegedly have been forced to convert to Islam.

Yesterday a judge in Pakistan’s Punjab province ordered further investigation into the kidnapping of Saba Younis, 12, and Aneela Younis, 10, who went missing on June 26 in the small town of Chowk Munda. The kidnappers filed for custody of the girls at the local police house on June 28, stating that the sisters had converted to Islam and their father no longer had jurisdiction over them.

When the father of the two girls, Younis Masih, was summoned to the police house to testify, police initially refused to file a case against the kidnappers – Muhammed Arif, Abjad Ali, taxi driver Muhammed Asraf and an unidentified fourth man – who are known to belong to a powerful human trafficking ring. Instead, human rights activists told Compass News, Masih was told to “remain silent,” as the officers said the girls had embraced Islam in a written statement.

The kidnapping, marriage and rape of Christian girls is, apparently, all the rage in Islamic countries. The girls are often sold to their new husbands. Sometimes they are picked out. In the vast majority of cases the authorities refuse to act because they agree with the underlying philosophy of wiping out Christianity by forced conversion.

“I’m trying to contact the District Police Officer about the registration of the criminal case,” said Tahir. “They have not yet registered the case. It is the duty of the DPO to register the case, but he’s failing to perform his duty, so I’m trying to contact him or else I’ll take it to the high court.”

Pakistan is by no means alone in this horrendous practice. It is equally common in Egypt and The Sudan. Unlike Pakistan and The Sudan, where Sharia Law reigns and hence the kidnapping and rape of Christians is no crime, Egypt theoretically has laws that protect all citizens.

But not in practice.

And, just as it recently legalized Female Genital Mutilation, it has also started to embrace other bizarre and cruel Islamic practices.

I remember very vividly that growing up in a Christian family, especially a clergy it was always a challenge to talk about my faith/religion. Normally, the Christians are recognizable due to their face features, poor health, and a few other characteristics. But luckily, in my case, my education and well health help me to make many Muslim friends before they judge me on base of my religion. In 2000 I was working in a software house as a programmer and it was during one of the Muslim festival calls" Eid-Ul-Azah" when I refused to eat sacrificial meat due to my Christian faith most of the staff come to know about my religious identity. It was always hard to reveal my identity but it never stopped me to develop good relationship with Muslim friends.

However, the moment my friends come to know about my religious affiliation they either refused to hangout with me or defend me as a person. It is the most difficult experience someone can ever have; at one moment you are a friend and on very next moment those friends either decide to become your enemy or defend you from religious animosity.

I met a stranger by birth he was British. We met on my way to Greece, it was just an hour in the air that the fellow start talking. I could not tell if he is just being friendly or is he really trying to get to know another stranger (because that’s what I do, I love to make new friends), in next 13 to 15 minutes talk he revealed that he was a Muslim Missionary to Ireland. Now being Christian missionary I never had seen or met some stranger like him ever before, now when I come to know about his occupation I felt obligated to let me know who I am.

Now, here is the problem with us Christian Missionary, we spend so much time in trying to hide our identity that we lose our focus on our purpose to evangelism others. Most of the missionaries are afraid of offending others, or persecution. Here is the dilemma all the Muslim countries have a some sort of Sharia Law Islamic Law and under certain law it is extremely hard to stay on the safe side. I would say there is no safe side when you dedicate your life to reach out Muslims. Even if you are a friend of Muslim or enemy either way you have no way to escape.

Time is important, and it is very crucial to use time wisely. Being a missionary nothing matters except carrying the mission. It does not matter what it will cost.

One thing I personally like about Muslim missionaries, they are brave and do not compromise with their faith. Either they have to win or defend their faith by war or dialogue. They do whatever it takes to put the word out.

Today another terrorist attack in Pakistan-Pashawar

PESHAWAR: At least 6 persons were killed and 100 others injured in two consecutive bomb blasts occurred in populated locations in Peshawar on Thursday. Dozens of vehicles and shops were destroyed.

Two terrorists were killed in the ensuing search operation undertaken by the police in the area upon receiving information regarding presence of suspected persons.

The blasts occurred in Qisa Khwani and Kabari Bazar within two minutes of each other.

Saifullah, Imtiaz, Muhammad Naeem, Javed Khan and an unidentified child are among those killed in the incident.

The first blast occurred in shops of electronic goods while the second one ripped through Qisa Khwani market.

The injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals where emergency has been declared.

The eyewitnesses say the explosion at Qisa Khwani happened as a bomb planted in a car parked outside the market went off.

Later, police embarked on a search operation in the area on information of presence of suspected persons. This led to an encounter between the suspects and heavily armed contingents of police.

The police, led by CCPO Safwat Ghayoor, undertook operation at two buildings and managed to arrest two terrorists while as many miscreants were killed in the action.

IG Police NWFP, Malik Naveed who arrived on the spot, lauded the police efforts and thanked the Peshawar people on cooperating with the police.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, NWFP Governor Owais Ghani, NWFP Chief Minister Amir Haider Hoti, Chief Minister Balochistan Aslam Raisani, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Information Minister Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira and other leaders condemned the incident in strongest terms.

LAHORE: The suicide car bomb blast at Rescue-15 build ing adjacent to CCPO Office killed 24 people and injured over 200 others here in Civil Line area on Wednesday.

The injured have been shifted to different hospitals of the city where medical aid is being provided to them.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has strongly condemned the blast.

According to sources, gunshots were being heard near the blast site for minutes before a speeding red van laden with explosives broke the barriers outside the Rescue-15 building and blew up with a loud blast, bringing down the entire building.

The suicide bomber intended to target the office of the CCPO, sources added.

Explosives weighing 100 kilograms were used in the explosion which was followed by gunshots in the area with intervals while four suspects were arrested from the blast site.

Windowpanes of the nearby buildings and houses were shattered and 15 vehicles were destroyed as thick smoke clouded the blast site.

Rescue activities were kick-started after the blast and the injured were whisked away by ambulances to Meo, Gangaram and Services hospitals.

Machines are being used to recover people trapped under the debris. Six of the ten bodies brought to Meo Hospital were of policemen while two bodies are beyond recognition.

According to The News Pakistan: The number of internally displaced persons IDPs has crossed 2.5 million figure, Mian Iftikhar, provincial minister for information, said on Wednesday.

Briefing media here, he said the ongoing operation would continue till the areas are cleansed from miscreants.

Iftikhar said the number of people fleeing from the affected areas has reached 25,28,370, which is the highest figure of IDPs in the world. He called on the world aid agencies to contribute generously for the rehabilitation of displaced families.

He said some 90 registration centres have been set up for the displaced persons, where 15 to 20 registration counters were in full swing.

Regarding Bajaur and Mohmand Agency, he said displaced people from these areas have started returning to home and so far, up to 3,264 families have returned.

The number of Humanitarian hub for the affected persons has been increased from 13 to 18, he said, adding that arrangements have been made to set up eight more such points in Peshawar, Mardan and Swabi.

The minister said around 30 to 35 percent people were still under siege in the affected areas, and efforts were underway to evacuate them safely.

He said security forces have strengthened their position in Sultanwas area of Buner, while people were still stranded in the Chakdara area of Dir.

While a huge number of people have responded to the heart-wrenching IDP crisis, it is much larger than we have ever seen. The UNHCR is expecting more refugees by the day, and the inter-agency coordination is poor. I have visited the camps twice with food and essential supplies but find that the entry point management for civil society is very weak. The relief commissioner has his hands full and the NDMA is totally absent. Women are indeed the worst-hit as they cannot leave the overheated tents, and are prone to water-borne diseases through mixed latrines.

Sherry Rehman Member of National Assembly of Pakistan in Islamabad said, I see the usual individuals and organisations working but nothing close to the earthquake effort, when there were less people displaced. This crisis has yielded up many injured as well, for whom medical help is inadequate. If we are not able to save our IDPs, we will lose the battle against extremism and militancy. If nothing else, the sheer scale of the humanitarian disaster should motivate more services.

The government must also mobilise people, especially after it has the mandate of an APC. If you want to deliver trucks of food, biscuits, sheets and plates and jerry cans, do it via the SRSP, Sungi, or even the NWFP relief commissioner. Isolated efforts are distributing the gains too thin.

Peace and Justice in Pakistan

Some people would say that Pakistan is a root of all violence and extremism throughout the world. I would not say it is entirely false but I would not accept it either. Most of the youth want prosperity: good education, good jobs, respect in the society and in the world. They do not want to be looked done before others. However, the Islamic curse through out the generation has infected their brains (brainwash). Modern Muslim youth has access to Internet and TV therefore they know how the rest of the world is progressing and how do they see Pakistanis. The youth of Pakistan want a chance in mind and thoughts of their leaders. The culture of Pakistan has more power and authority then the law. Law can be changed with a movement but culture needs more than a movement. Education is the Answer!!!

Have you ever thought, if it is so nasty in Pakistan or other Muslim country when it comes to religious tolerances, who Christians live in those country.

Let me start with a simple sentence: "they survive to live for another day" It is so hard being Christian in a place where the people do not consider you a person. If you touch a cup or glass or a plate they will bit you to death. Christians have no right anywhere, yes I know when you google you will see many good things about Pakistani Christians, I wish if that would be the case in reality but unfortunately that stuff stays on google to promote the country and to show IMF : International Monetary Fund that the country herself is very tolerant toward other religous groups in the country. But the truth is this that Most of the Pakistani Christian everyday live in a hell.

About ten years ago hardly people were aware of PAKISTAN. It was not the First Fission Weapon Test (Nuclear Test) by Pakistan on May 28th,1998 which made Pakistan prominent in the world but the incident of 9/11. First as the part of the conspiracy and then as a major Allie in the region. For example, prior to Sept. 11 the chief of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI allegedly approved a $100,000 wire transfer to a certain Mohamed Atta. Yet the same ISI chief, Mahmud Ahmed, was in Washington for a working visit to his counterparts in the US government for more than a week prior to Sept. 11. On the morning of 9/11 itself, he was having breakfast at the Capitol with the future congressional investigators of the September 11th events. These alleged investigators, Porter Goss and Bob Graham, somehow failed to mention anything about the Pakistani connection in their report, in the same way that the 9/11 Commission later closed its eyes to the same facts. Were bribes really necessary to whitewash all this? In reality, the "Pakistani Connection" actually leads back to the US intelligence behemoth. WASHINGTON - Ever since the 9/11 attacks, formal President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf had doggedly made the case to Washington that he is the finger in the dike holding back a wave of Islamic extremism that could again reach America's shores.
Since 1947, Pakistan has never receive a honest leadership. The country has been in crises since its existence. The money and resources have been used only to strengthen the Army of Pakistan to defend the country from India the primary enemy. Less focus on education and basic needs of citizen left room for those who had power and money to influence the people and use them as they wish. It has been said that "Education system in Pakistan is in a big mess. Only the rich can get a quality education, while the poor can't even find enough money to feed themselves!" but what the governent have done, while the government was spending their money on political compeigns and agendas the Islamic extremists snicked into the country with a massive quantity of resources and money to take over the country and use the soil of Pakistan to promote their worldview.
In its history, Pakistan has only faced one extraregional threat: when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. Except for that period of time, Pakistan has been focused on a primary Indian threat, a much smaller Afghan problem, and a tertiary danger from Iran. To combat these regional threats, it has cultivated an alliance with the United States and an "all weather" friendship with China. While its relationship with China has never been elevated to a formal "alliance," Pakistan has historically relied upon Chinese assistance more than it has its U.S. ally. It has used the security benefits from both relationships to bolster its capabilities vis-à-vis India.

These security relationships were unable to balance Pakistan's daunting regional security threats. Several times in its history, Pakistan was painfully disillusioned when its "allies" refused to assist it in times of dire need. In 1965, during a war clumsily initiated by Pakistan, the United States refused to provide assistance when India counterattacked and threatened key Pakistani population centers. In 1971, when India took advantage of a domestic crisis in East Pakistan, the United States and China stood by as India violently severed Bangladesh from Pakistan. More recently, both China and the United States sided against Pakistan after its nuclear tests in May 1998 and during the Kargil conflict of 1999. As a consequence, Pakistan has had to look for its own capabilities to deter future aggression. Stephen Cohen has likened Pakistan's security situation with that of Israel: "Both [Israel and Pakistan] sought an entangling alliance with various outside powers (at various times, Britain, France, China, and the U.S.), both ultimately concluded that outsiders could not be trusted in a moment of extreme crisis and this led them to develop nuclear weapons." Pakistan pursued and continues to pursue a three-pronged strategy to combat regional threats. It maintains a large and capable conventional military to deny India strategic space in which it can prosecute a limited war. It has used proxies in an asymmetric strategy to tie India down, most notably in Kashmir, and more ambitiously to defeat the Soviets in Afghanistan. And lastly, it has developed nuclear weapons in order to deny India victory in a general war. These last two prongs (the use of asymmetric proxies and the pursuit of a nuclear deterrent), while designed primarily to confront regional foes, ultimately undermined U.S. security objectives. The creation of the Taliban and the A. Q. Khan nuclear supplier network are both products, in their own way, of this troubled U.S.-Pakistan alliance. Both are reminders that policies to combat a specific problem can generate a more difficult problem down the line. (Combating proliferation from primary nuclear suppliers can facilitate a global nuclear black market. Creating jihadi groups to fight the Soviets bolstered radical Islamist fighters which then turned on the United States and have destroyed the fabric of Pakistani society.) Also, they are evidence of a unique situation with Pakistan, where it is often the creator and sole solution to problems.
